Impact of Pandemic on Consumers’ Behavior

It’s been over a year since the COVID-19 changed the lives of many
people. Various ways to survive and cope up with life in this so-called
“New Normal” situation came out. All the resources and necessities
must be bought hundred percent (100%) safe and harmless to
consumers’ either physical or mental health. The help of the online
industry and platforms such as Amazon and eBay were the most helpful
ways that can make every transaction easier, convenient, and above all,
safe.
Now, the big question is how did it affect the consumers’ behavior most
especially this time of Pandemic?
As the Pandemic continues, there are two types of people who are either
becoming impulsive buyers or becoming meticulous with the shop and
products that are to be purchased. The ones who are getting impulsive
have the possibility of experiencing boredom in his or her comfort or in
their own homes. They spend most of their time browsing shops online,
social media platforms, and other media that contain persuasive products
reviewed and endorsed by well-known personalities. However, those
people who are meticulous and selective can be labeled as the practical
ones. They consider and measure their needs over their wants. They
might be on a tight budget but it’s a normal thing in this time of health
crisis. Various situations affect every purchaser’s decision and behavior.
Many experts say that to ensure that every product is in its best quality
and safety; it lies on the sellers’ effort and service and consumers’
review and feedback. These factors are the reasons why the
aforementioned behaviors of every consumer are visible in this
Pandemic era. None of us have the idea until when this COVID-19
outbreak will last but everyone must be reminded to just live within the
means consider what is only the best for self and family.
