When it comes to relationships, there are many different kinds. After a breakup, both couples normally
require some time — anything from 6 months to a year, depending on how emotionally involved they
were – to get over one other.
So, in the majority of these circumstances, I advise my clients to avoid contact with their ex. However,
the majority of them are so preoccupied with what the other person is doing that they stalk them on
Whatsapp, Facebook, and other social networking sites.
Or they try to learn about each other's life through mutual friends.
Some of them are at college. Even though they have split up, they still see one other at college and talk
to mutual friends. It is difficult to get over someone you see every day, as you know.
How Long Should No Contact Last?
That can be a tough question when it comes to people who date and break up. Some people don't want
the painful experience of not speaking to each other for extended periods of time. Others will dismiss
contact after a period of time and still think that the relationship is salvageable.
As bad as it can feel when you break up, it's usually for the best in the long run. If you don't contact the
other person, the pain of losing them will fade over time and not be as bad as it may have been initially.
When you do want to keep seeing someone, it's important to realize that once the initial "no contact"
period is over, all relationships eventually require some form of communication.
The ideal situation is to begin talking again with the person you're no longer dating early on in your new
relationship. The sooner you regularly talk to the other person again, the better.
To avoid any complications, it's important to be honest and upfront about your feelings and what's
going on in your life at all times. This is especially true once you feel comfortable with someone and
know that you want to begin a new relationship. You can't expect to take a moment or two and then
just pick right back up where you left off as it will only lead to hurt feelings and hurtful situations for
both of you.
How Long Is Too Long For No Contact?
Naturally, there's a difference between a rebound and a true relationship. If the no contact issue is going
to cause too much harm over time, then it's best to just forget about it. There isn't a right or wrong
answer to this question as it depends on the individual and the situation.
Takeaway: The sooner you begin talking again with your ex, the better off you'll be in the long run. If
you've already given it a reasonable amount of time and the two of you still aren't talking, then it's
probably a good idea to move on.
After all, if your ex is spending his time thinking about you instead of focusing on himself, then he's still
thinking about you. And that's the exact opposite of what no contact is supposed to do.
The first few weeks are always the toughest, but after that things should start to get better because he'll
be getting nothing but bad news from you. You'll be showing him how it's done by making him wonder
why he bothered with someone who wouldn't leave him alone.
There isn't a right or wrong answer here as it depends on the individual and the situation. Takeaway:
Just take it slow and everything will be just fine. The longer you wait, the more painful it will be when
you do finally begin to talk again.
When someone misses you (for whatever reason), they start to feel lonely without you. They start to
realize that things just aren't right in life anymore because their lives revolved around yours in some
way.
That way, they're already out of your life and you don't have the temptation to reach out again. But if
you're desperate and they've really affected you, it may be worth asking one more time to give them
another chance.
How long does "no contact" last? This depends on the person. Some people may only need a few days of
no contact to get over someone they were dating, while others may need weeks or months, or even
years.
While it's important not to rush yourself with the hard work of healing after an emotionally abusive
relationship, you also don't want to stay in no contact for longer than is healthy for you.
