amount of money that the US consumers pay for residential phone services fell rapidly
to $500 in 2007. At the end of the study period, the figure for residential phone services
sank to a new low of $400.

In 2001, US people spent only $200 for cell phone services. The amount of money that
US citizens pay for cell phone services increased suddenly to $600 in 2007. Then, the
figure for cell phone service keep rose significantly to more than $700 in 2010.
TASK 2

Pollution of rivers, lakes and seas is a major concern for people who seek to protect the
environment.
What are the possible causes of water pollution, and what effects does this have on animal
life and human society?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge
or experience.
You should write at least 250 words.

It is true that water polution is a major concern for environmentalists. Human activities
can be used to explain this tendency, and some effects on animal life and human
society can be anticipated.

Human activities may be the main causes of the pollution of rivers, lakes and seas.
Today, many people through rubbish into the oceans, lakes or rivers as a routine
instead of bins. Then, the heavy trash will stay at the bottom of the seas and can not be
cleaned. The others will flow on the water surface all the time and can not be collected
to recycled. These rubbish will smells and contaminate the water all the time, and it cost
even 1000 years or more for they to dicomposite itself.

There are some negative consequences of this trend. The main issue is animals such
as fish, lobsters... will lose there living habits. These animals live in the water most of
their lifetime, so that when the water is polluted, they have to live in the unwell
environment, this may lead them to diceases or even death. Furthermore, not only
animals' living standard gets worth, human's living standard is going to get worth also.
When the water is polluted, people will not have enough clean water to consume.
Inspite of having water mill, we can not make sure that everyone can have enough
clean water for living. Poor people usually use water from the rivers without perified to
cook and washing. If all of the water is dirty, they don not have enough money to buy a
water mill, so that they can only use polluted water for living.

Inconclusion, human is the main cause of water pollution. This will result in various
consequences on animal life and human society.
