TENNESSEE ATHLETICS (ct. 29, 2023 ‘Commissioner Sankey, In response tothe requirements you outined fllowing the interruption of the Tennessee-Ole Miss football game ‘on October 16th, please find enclosed the action plan presented to myself and Chancellor Plowman regarding safety and security recommendation fr Neyland Stadium. The plan includes immediate action steps, as well {future considerations, which were developed through comprehensive review that included representatives from Tennessee Athletics, UTPD, Office of tudent ife and Finance and Adminstration To specifically address your directive that every reasonable effort be made to Identify the Indviduals who contributed to the game disruption and prohibit them from attending Tennessee Athletics events for the remainder of the academic/athltic year, that directive has been met. ‘As similary directed, we have thoroughly reviewed our game management procedures and invenue alcoho! ‘service plan for Neyland Stadium. As the enclosed report states, it was determined that we were compliant with ‘existing standards including the SECs Game Management Policy on Alcohol \While we have been clear in expressing thatthe conduct of several in attendance on Oct 16 was unacceptable, Chancellor Plowman andi also maintain that such disruptive behavior doesnot represent our fanbase as a whole. \We believe the Southeastern Conference standard of sportsmanship aligns with our univrsitys Volunteet Vales, and we are confident that the recommendations outlined in our action plan wil effectively ald in the prevention ‘of future incidents, ‘Thank you for your communication throughout this process.
