Public health education

Rationale: I am passionate about nutrition health of young people who have fallen trap to
eating of super palatable and fast foods that makes them fat and end up suffering from
obesity. Today, people prefer fast food despite knowing that these foods are responsible for
making them fat and obese and therefore lowering their immunity thus the higher death rates
witnessed during the naval coronavirus. I deeply believe that TV and social media adverts of
fast foods have made it fashionable to consume foods which are very low in nutrition content
because the way they aggressively carry out their marketing. By implementing and
encouraging the consumption of organic foods, the media could be responsible for creation of
healthy society, we find that most of the media outlets would rather promote foods that are
super palatable like pizza while at the same time make it seems as if consumption of organic
foods is backwardness. This essays not only wants a healthy society but also seeks to gain the
attention of the media and other TV outlets to let their information consumers knows the side
effects of what they are promoting. It is called corporate social responsibility. While we don’t
deny the popularity and health benefits of super palatable and highly processed foods, we
seek to encourage the media to balance and also consider promoting organic foods. The
media should atleast warn people of the side effects of and provide alternatives. Studies has
found that consumption of organic food such as locally complex carbs, have a lt of nutritional
benefits as compared to higly processed foods. Therefore implementing health promotion and
disease prevention efforts may be achieved via the use of health education programs and
materials. Students may acquire information about health-related topics via participation in
health education classes and programs. Plans for health education are created in line with the
requirements of the intended audience, which includes children and adolescents. Providing
targeted groups with knowledge on particular health problems, including the health benefits
and dangers they face, as well as methods to build capacity and encourage behavior change
among people who receive it, when given in an appropriate setting, is known as health
education.
