CORPORATE HSE & QUALITY

Primary purpose of job


Provide assurance that the fire & safety requirements related to design, construction, maintenance and operation Petrol
Stations, operating under the licensing requirements, are implemented and complied with by Petrol Stations.

Develop a mechanism for fire & safety inspection and programs to assure compliance with internationally accepted codes
and standards

Experience & Skills


-Minimum 10 years of experience with the fire safety systems of oil & gas industry, chemical/petrochemical industry, and
their associated safety systems, with focus on retail refueling stations.

-Very good knowledge of codes and standards relevant to retail refueling stations.

-Knowledgeable with the relevant health and safety regulations, fire safety systems, their integrity and hazardous area
requirements, including occupational safety and health.

-Able to develop fire & safety inspection/monitoring programs in line with Internationally accepted standards.

-Carry out fire & safety inspection/audit of retail refueling stations to assure the compliance with Internationally accepted
standards on regular basis/ad-hoc and recommend areas for improvements.

-Review the retail refueling stations fire & safety documentation to assure the compliance with Internationally accepted
standards and recommend areas for improvements.

-Establish and maintain the required inspection records for each retail refueling stations, including the relevant checklists
and non-compliance records along with their close out evidences.

-Provide technical support on fire & safety aspects to HSE inspection team, coordinate and discuss with the specialists the
fire & safety technical issues.

-Develop and issue periodical HSE site inspection reports, but not limited to fire & safety requirements for all retail refueling
stations across State of Qatar.

-Identify and prioritize existing and potential risks and develop risk management strategies and mitigation controls.

-Knowledge of requirements APEA requirements.

-Effective communicator, fluent in English. Knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.

Education
- B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably fire safety engineering or equivalent.
