JUSTIFICATION
Due to increasing energy demand and the impending shortage of fossil resources, it is
necessary for engineers to know and become familiar with alternative energy
technologies.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The student must know the fundamentals for understanding the different forms of
energy presented in nature, how they could be recovered, the amount available, and
determine the possibility of recovery.
METHODOLOGY
Oral Lectures of theoretical principles of the different types of alternative
energies
Oral presentation by the students of the subject assigned.
Book consultation, internet and journals research, about proposed topics and
presentation of synthetic review orally or in writing.
