Final Reflection Paper Requirement:

This is a formal paper that requires and introduction, body and conclusion.
No contractions. Please write concisely and professionally. This paper should be 2-3
pages in length.

Address the following in the paper:

• Overall, what did you learn?


• What went well?
• What aspects of group facilitation do you need to improve?
• What did you like and dislike about facilitation?
• What skills did you use effectively?
• What skills do you need to enhance?
• Discuss your leadership style. How did it work with the group? Did it help or
hinder the group process?
• Reflect on what you would do different if you were to facilitate a group again.

Rubric:
5 = Paper demonstrates excellent writing skills including, a clear and thought-provoking
ideas, appropriate and effective organization, discusses all required components of the
assignment, effective sentence structure, and perfect or near perfect mechanics including
spelling, grammar and punctuation. The writing perfectly accomplishes the objectives of
the assignment and all objectives are covered and thoroughly discussed.

4 = Essay contains above average composition skills including a clear and thought-
provoking ideas, although development, diction, and sentence style may suffer minor
flaws. Shows careful and acceptable use of mechanics. The writing effectively
accomplishes the goals of the assignment. The paper discusses the main goals and
objectives of the assignment.

3 = Essay contains average composition skills, including a clear, insightful ideas,


although development may be insufficient in one area and diction and style may not be
consistently clear and effective. Shows competence in the use of mechanics.
Accomplishes the goals of the assignment with a minimal effective approach.

2 = Composition skills may be flawed in either the clarity of the ideas, the development,
or organization. Diction and mechanics may seriously affect clarity. Minimally
accomplishes the majority of the goals of the assignment.

1 = Composition skills may be flawed in two or more areas. Diction and mechanics are
excessively flawed. Fails to accomplish the goals of the assignment.
