My Stress Survival Kit

Shane Seannelle Cabuello – Pollux

“Scent”
For you and me, life isn't perfect, and things are just going to get worse.
Problems and pain will not go away until we choose to, which is why we must
learn to treat ourselves better than we have in the past.
Cleaning our mess, doing our laundry.
The aroma of a fresh, clean environment motivates me to be a better person.
After crying over my faults or being terrified or apprehensive during the day, I
run to my bed with the magic of lavender or rosemary and feel like a new
person.
My mother's scent is always the finest stress reliever.

“Pictures”
If you take me someplace in Southern Europe, I'll shut up and stop
complaining about how bad my life is.
Pictures of places I've always wanted to see, a true paradise.
Europe, I hope to attain my objective eventually and expect more than what my
imagination can conjure up by gazing at those photos.
It makes me feel like I'm not myself when I think about and look at those
places.
It feels like it's me, but a happier, more tranquil, and deserving version of
myself.
But it's not the only place I'd like to be; I'd also like Tom to accompany me.
He's my ultimate crush, and I'm more in love with him than I am with my cats.
So, if I say, "take me anyplace in Southern Europe with Tom," my head will
carry out the command.
I forget I have a problem and am stressed when I see pictures of them.
“Tea Packets”
What could be better than curling up in my bed with pillows all around me,
albums of places I've always wanted to see, and Tom? And while I'm sipping my
tea.
Scent, Pictures and Tea.
The ideal trifecta for de-stressing.
Give it a shot. You'll be able to see the magic. Trust me.
