Vocabulary Choice Board 

Each week you will get ​10 new words​ relating to one or two Greek roots. You will ​copy
down​ your new words on the first day of the week and quiz on those words the first day of the
next week. In the meantime, you will have ​2 vocabulary homework assignments​ that you can
also work on during warm-ups before they are due.

● Vocab homework will be due/collected every ​Wednesday​ and ​Friday​ for a

homework check.
● The weekly quiz will be a minor grade.

Choose 2 different vocabulary activities from the board below each week. ​You may
repeat an activity you did last week, but you may not repeat activities in the same week.

Flashcards Story Time Draw It Out

Create flashcards that you can
use to study your words. (This
is a good one to do on the first
night)
Write a creative story using at
least 7 vocabulary words
correctly. Underline your
vocabulary words, and give your
story a title.
Choose 7 words and illustrate
them. Caption each drawing
with the word, part of speech,
and definition.

Investigate Crossword Puzzle Make It Up

Find 5 more words with that
root and define them. How do
they relate to the root?
Create a crossword puzzle online
using all words and definitions.
Create 5 brand new words
using the root of the week, and
define your unique words (they
should all have to do with your
root)

Connect Two Greeting Card In Your Own Words

Choose 3 sets of 2 words you Choose at least 2 words and Write the definition of 7
