Richard Lander School
Designed to DfES “School of the Future” standards, Richard
Lander School has been fitted out with more than 4000 metres
of Cableline Solo in classrooms and offices to carry mains power
and data communications networks. Cableline Solo is a stylish
and compact dado trunking. Three compartments are contained
under a single lid whilst data cable guides enable cables to
maintain minimum bend radii requirements.
Columbian Chemicals use MITA GRP

The specifications for any Columbian Chemicals UK cable management system needs
to be able to address the challenges of operating within a carbon black
environment. With its 55% glass and resin formulation, Mita’s GRP range

provides the strength and practicality required to offer an effective

solution. It offers higher tensile strength to weight ratio than
standard products and does not permanently deform under
excessive loads.
Lower grade glass reinforced products may use only uni-directional
strand glass which can lead to weaknesses in the transverse direction. Mita’s
GRP pultrusion products use a combination of uni-directional and cross strand glass mat, producing a very solid,
structurally sound profile. The material is then covered with a surface veil to protect against weathering ensuring its
long term suitability for purpose.
North Wales Police

Mains-power and data-
communications wiring and cabling
throughout the new Communications
Centre of North Wales Police are
contained in Mita’s latest 2-
compartment, Cableline Ultra 60
dado perimeter trunking. With
dimensions of 190 x 62mm, Ultra 60
has a dedicated 75 x 62mm data
compartment which provides secure
segregated containment and
protection for the sensitive, high-
bandwidth, high speed data-
communications cabling. Ultra 60
can hold up to 48 Cat 6 cables,
whilst standard fittings provide for a
50mm minimum bend radius.
Installations
Top of the Class for Wire Cable Tray
Mita’s new aemsa Wire Cable Tray has been installed at the Guru Nanak Sikh Secondary School in Hayes, West
London, the first Sikh secondary school in the country, which is currently being enlarged as part of a £7.6m project.
aemsa Wire Cable Tray will carry data and power
cables, including fire protection and sub-mains
cabling. The tray has been supplied in an electro-
zinc finish with a standard depth of 70mm, which
offers greater carrying capacity and strength. A
variety of widths are being used ranging from
100mm to 600mm.
aemsa Wire Cable Tray offers reduced installation
times leading to cost savings and faster project
completion. Bends can be easily fabricated on
site using only bolt croppers and simple clamps.
Mita is the fashion

Home to the London offices of Vogue magazine and some of the
world’s most successful international businesses, Hanover Square was
originally constructed as fashionable residences in the early 18th
Century. MITA provided more than 800m of three compartment
Cableline to five floors of number 13 Hanover Square. The historic
layout presented a number of challenges, not least the irregular shape
of the bay windows. Mita provided a solution with bespoke angles to
keep the refurbishment on track.

compartment trunking provides secure

compartment and 50mm radius bends for
the cat6 data cabling network. 2

complement the interior décor in the
managers offices. Underfloor powertrack

Intercell is a low profile Cable Management Flooring System
from Interface offering a strong, space saving cellular
flooring systems, designed to manage cable distribution in

Wibe Ladder is supplied by MITA and complements the
other cable support systems that we offer.
All galvanised ladders are supplied in 6m lengths and pre-

galvanised ladders in 4m or 6m lengths.
Wibe is one of Europe’s largest cable ladder brands and

offers the fastest installation system available.
Wibe Cable Ladders are based around a rapid fit system.

The unique coupling method avoids the need for flat
fishplates which require up to 32 nuts, bolts and washer
sets per coupling. Instead of the usual 10-15 minutes
time taken per ladder, the Wibe coupler comes with 2
captive bolts and a complete connection can be made in
around 30 seconds.
Additionally, the WIBE pre-galvanised ladder offers

impressive materials cost savings for any internal
applications and is ideal for use in commercial buildings,
hospitals, distribution centres, shopping and retail
applications.

Technical Guide
We would like to draw your attention

to the following important note:
Thermal expansion
uPVC is subject to thermal expansion and contraction, therefore care should be taken to
ensure that trunkings and trays are adequately supported along their length and are not
rigidly fixed to any base support or structure. Fixing holes should be made oversize and
screws should not be over tightened. A gap should be left between adjoining lengths to
allow for expansion, 2-3mm will be sufficient for most needs but where extremes of
temperature change are possible, a gap of 6mm should be left.
Conduit should be able to move freely within saddles or clips and it is recommended that
an expansion coupling is installed when a straight run exceeds 6 metres.
All systems are designed to allow installers to comply with current IEE regulations. These
notes are issued for guidance and to assist good practice and workmanship.
