1. Bluetooth Connection

In order to connect SL55 to receiver


via Bluetooth; please click Start on the
Windows desktop.

In the Start menu, please click


Settings.

Please click Bluetooth icon to access


Bluetooth settings.

Please click “Add new device…”


Then, let the controller search if any
device available for Bluetooth
connection.

Please wait while controller


searching for Bluetooth devices.

After searching is completed, controller


finds all devices around which are
available for Bluetooth connection.

Please select your receiver’s serial


number and click Next.

After that, Passcode screen appears.


Please input your passcode and click
Next.

The passcode is: 1234

When “Device Added” message box


appears, then Bluetooth connection
between controller and receiver has
been done.

After that, please click Done.

Please select COM Ports from the


bottom tabs.

Click New Outgoing Port to define


COM Port.

Secure Connection selection box


must be unselected. Please remove
the check from selection box.

After that please select COM Port


from drop down list.

Then click Finish.

Then please click OK to apply.

After that please turn back to the


Windows desktop and run SATLAB
Field Tools.

Please click GPS – Off Line button to


connect GNSS receiver via Bluetooth.

Setting Parameters:

HPC: iMAP SL Series

Type: Serial Port

Port: 8 (Same as Outgoing)

Baudrate: 19200

Analyzer: SL500

Input setting parameters and click

button.

Connected 3011940

Connection between SL500 receiver,


which serial number is 3011940, and
controller via Bluetooth has been
successful.

2. Static Data Collection

After controller connects with receiver,


please select Static> Static.

Keyboard Exit

Set Parameters

Start Observation

Point Name Antenna Height


Elevation Mask

Please input Static Mode Setting


parameters and click Set to apply
parameters.

When “Successful operation!”


message box appears then you can
make sure that your settings has
been defined.

Please click Start button to start


survey.

After start surveying;

 In order to finish the


observation, please press Stop
button. Do not shut down the
controller.
 In order to stop observation
without using controller, please
press F2 button on SL500
receiver twice.

3. Register Code Access

Please click Pos icon.

Then click Regist button.

Please insert your registration code


without space, then click button
to confirm.

When you see this message box, it


means your registration code has
been confirmed. Then please click OK
button.

4. NMEA Data Management

In order to access NMEA output,


please click Pos icon.

Then, please click button.

Select Clear check box and please


click .

Please select NMEA types which is


needed.

Then, please select data port;

COM1: Serial and Bluetooth 

COM2: Serial

After data port selection, please


insert your time interval in seconds.

Then click button to begin


NMEA flow.

NMEA Data Structure

GGA— Global Positioning System Fixed Data

GLL— Geographic Position - Latitude/Longitude

GSA— GNSS DOP and Active Satellites

GSV— GNSS Satellites in View

RMC— Recommended Minimum Specific GNSS Data

VTG— Course Over Ground and Ground Speed

ZDA—Time&Date Message

GST— GPS Pseudorange Noise Statistics

ADV— Position and Satellite information for RTK network operations
