Helpful Tip: ACE Writing instructions
Remember that AGE writing is the best method for responding to deeper questions that ask for
‘explanation. First, A, or answer all questions so that the question is embedded in your answer. Next, C,
cite evidence using a direct, word-for-word quote from the text. Finally, E, explain your answer using
complex sentences that use AWHITEBUS words, and go into detail about why or how you came to your
