Good afternoon parents!

I wanted to tune you in on what will be going on in

my classroom this week. Last week, we learned about macromolecules,
specifically carbohydrates and lipids. Both are intricate for there to be life,
and we wanted to expand student learning on sugars and how they can be
identified. This week is a B-week, so I will see your children two days.
Tuesday, we are performing a “Pepsi Mystery” Lab where students
determine the sugar content of each liquid. Thursday, we will begin our
lesson on proteins. Students will complete a hands-on activity
demonstrating how proteins behave. Thank you again for sharing your
