BARRIERS TO COMMUNICATION

The organizational setup chosen is XYZ ltd. This organization Is set up in India and the
factory is situated in an industrial area. It encompasses of skilled and unskilled employees
for all the tasks which are to be done. It follows a structure where one divides the major
functions of a firm into different groups

1. conflict of interest- As it is a functional structure, every division require maximum

attention which leads to conflict of interest among the various department heads
2. Status- Higher and lower-level employees involves status issues which leads to a
barrier in communication.
3. Noise- It is situated in an industrial area where noise pollution contributes to a major
barrier of communication
4. Closed mind- Employees in this organization come from different backgrounds which
include people with an orthodox mindset will result in contributing as a barrier of
communication.
