The worldwide market has become increasingly demanding in recent
years. We must be efficient and competitive. Nowadays, automation is a
hot topic. We are more interested in high-tech and fully automated
initiatives. However, there are many different types of automation. Semi-
automation, such as automatic identification of a common error or semi-
automation of a process step so that it takes 80% less time, can have a
significant influence on worker productivity without costing a lot of money.
When driving, a completely autonomous vehicle may not be
necessary. However, it is convenient to be able to put the automobile in
"cruise" mode and maintain a speed of, say, 120 km/h. It will limit the risk
of speeding and over-consumption on flat terrain. Automation does not
have to be high-tech or cutting-edge to be effective.
Then, in modest ways, automate further in small steps. An "adaptive
cruise" option that reduces the number of times you touch the brakes and
have to re-accelerate is an improvement.
2. Explain how ergonomics improves quality and productivity,
reduce costs and increase employee’s engagement.
Ergonomics is the study of how to make a workplace as productive,
safe, and comfy as possible. The use of ergonomics in the design of work
systems can assist in achieving a compromise between worker
characteristics and task demands. Operator productivity, worker safety,
physical and mental well-being, and job satisfaction can all benefit from
this. Many studies have proven that good design has a favorable impact.
