Pro Tools: Transpose

If you ever need to change the key of a performance or maybe even to just adjust a few notes, with MIDI you
can simply transpose your performance to the desired key or pitch. You can find an option for transportation
in the event operations window.

Inside the transposition window, you will see a few helpful

options:

• Transpose by - this will allow you to transpose all of your notes by your choice of semitones or octaves.
• Transpose from/to - this will allow you to transpose notes to a specific note name rather than by
figuring out interval distances.
• Transpose all notes to - this option changes all of the MIDI notes to one note. This is very useful for
transposing rhythms into percussion parts.
• Transpose in Key - this transposes your audio based on scale steps
