Please accept this letter of recommendation for Tristen Borland who is applying for the Television
Academy Foundation’s News Internship. I have known Tristen since the fall semester of 2019 when he
was hired at the Center for Media Production and Research (CMPR). The CMPR is a media production
facility that provides real life experience for students in pre-production, production, and post-production
of digital media.

It has been my experience that Tristen is passionate, dependable, and creative. He has worked
with me at the CMPR for the last year doing work as a member of our production team. Tristen has
shown that he is more than willing to be adaptable and investigate new areas of production throughout
the course of the various productions at the CMPR. He has quickly learned and improved his skills,
meeting the challenges put in front of him. He has proved himself to be a reliable and enthusiastic
member of our team at the CMPR.

It is my evaluation that Tristen presents a positive attitude, is very reliable, and can work under
pressure. He is well organized and in control of the numerous jobs he was asked to perform. This speaks
to Tristen’s ability to focus on tasks and work with a diverse team. Production can be a demanding
environment. I have never seen Tristen get anxious or lose his composure under pressure. He is easy to be
around and has a positive outlook on his future.

I hope you will give Tristen your most serious consideration. I have no doubt that he will be a
productive and dedicated intern as he has been while working with me at the CMPR. If you need
