BSBDIV601- Practical Task 1

Task 1

This task requires you  to  research and  report  on  existing benefits and  information in
relation to diversity within Bounce Fitness. Your answer should  investigate current policy
regarding diversity, as well as look at how this policy  is  working within the organisation.
Back up any statements you make with figures and data gathered during your research
(which may include accessing diversity policies and information from other organisations).
Address the following on a different file and submit :

 Analyse the existing policy, practices and information on the  Bounce Fitness website
relating to diversity.
 Identify the potential benefits of diversity in the workplace and analyse  these in
relation to the business planning and strategic documents of Bounce Fitness.
 Who would you consult in terms of key stakeholders about their requirements for a
diversity policy?Access diversity policies from other organisations similar to  Bounce 
Fitness and review for their relevance to Bounce Fitness.

Print and include any documents you use from the Bounce Fitness website and reference
any other information for your Assessor.

 Infrastructure tab / Business Planning and Strategy Documents


 Policies tab / Human Resources / Personnel Policies
 Procedures tab / Human Resources folder
 Performance / Cairns Centre / Cairns Staff – Exit Interviews

You may need to conduct further research on the Bounce Fitness website and in other areas.

Task 2

Task 2 requires you to draft a diversity policy and plan to implement it. Back up any
statements you make with figures and data gathered during your research (which may
include accessing diversity policies and information from other organisations). Address the
following:
 Draft a new diversity policy  for  Bounce Fitness using  information from  your
research to improve the diversity policy.
 Once your diversity policy has been written, develop an action plan to  enable the
diversity policy to be put into action.
 Describe how you will provide copies of the diversity policy to key stakeholders and
get feedback on the policy. Use this information  to revise the policy.
 Will this change any other policies? What needs to be changed? Provide details of
changes required. Revise all policies accordingly and submit with your assessment.
