Into the Park

It was a rainy day in an abandoned park. Maka is a girl who has a failing subject
that why her mother sent her to here’s grandfather. She was got lost and didn't know
how to return to her Lolo's house. Her clothes were all wet and started to feel cold
because of the rain.

"What I am going to do?" She started crying.

"It is my fault for not following Lolo's advice," she added.

She didn't know that there a boy named Kou was silently following her from the
very beginning. Gin was an alien disguised as a human. He wears a mask all the time to
hide his face from all humans.

"Help me!" screaming coming from Maka.

Suddenly, Kou decided to show himself to Maka. Maka was very shocked when
she saw him because he wears a mask but at the same time felt relieved because she
thinks that she will now have company.

" Oh my God !" said Maka.

"I'm sorry if I surprised you," said Kou.

" I have been following you since you enter this abandoned park. Are you lost?
Do you need help somehow?" Kou added.

"Yes mister, I badly need your help. I think my grandfather was already looking for
me. I was walking for one hour here and also my clothes are all wet," Maka
explained.

"Okay, I'll show you the way out, just follow me," Kou said

After one hour of walking, was already at the entrance point of the park. The rain
already stops and it is already evening.

“Thank you mister for your help. By the way, you live in that abandoned park?"
Maka asked out of nowhere.
"Ahm yes, I use to here in the park, so don't you worry I'll be okay now," Kou
answered.

"Okay, thank you again! Goodbye for now," Maka said while smiling.

She got back to their house and went to her room to change her wet clothes.

In the morning, while Maka was eating, she suddenly thought about what
happened last night. She was planning to bring some food to the gay who helps her.
She told her grandfather what happens last night. Her grandfather told her that it was
the guardian of that park. It also protects the whole place from disaster. Maka didn't
believe it and continue to pack some food. Later on, Maka was already in the park and
looking for the guy last night.

"Looking for me," Kou said showing himself out of nowhere.

"Yes, I brought some food, you want some?" Maka said while smiling.

"By the way, I am Maka," she offers her hand to shake hands but Kou didn't respond to
it.

"I am Kou, nice meeting you Maka," Kou replied.

"Okay, let's eat," Kou said.

"But no matter what happens, don't ever touch me, okay?" Kou added.

"Okay," Maka said while very confusing.

They eat all food and Kou tours, Maka, in the abandoned park. They were both
laughing and as time flows by their friendship becomes strong and peaceful. Maka was
always going to Kou to meet her. She always brought some food and some board
games. Both of them were very happy with each other company. Many months have
passed but their bond got deeper and deeper.

"Kou why you always wear a mask?" Maka asked.

"I don't want somebody to saw my face but do you want to see it?" Kou said while
looking to Maka.

Maka was very shocked. After many months, she can finally see Kou's face. She
was nervous when Kou touches his mask and bout to remove it. Maka was surprised at
what Kou looks like. He has gray hair with a pointed nose and pale lips. It was the first
time that Kou removes his mask. It was the first time when Kou trusted a human. Maka
appreciated Kou's appearance and she can now imagine Kou without wearing a mask.
The moment was perfect for both of them.

One day, Kou was thinking if he will tell Maka his secret. Telling that he is not
human but an alien coming from another world. He has another secret about himself. If
a human touches him, he will disappear in the world. They were best friends yet have
mutual feelings for each other. Kou was desperate to tell Maka, what he is.

"Maka, I have something to tell you," said Kou

" What is it, Kou?" Maka said while picking flowers.

" It already one year since we met and I know I can trust you enough to tell you
my secrets," Kou explained.

Maka stopped what she is doing and listen carefully to Kou.

" I am not a human Maka, I am an alien, I am different from you," Kou said.

Maka was not shocked after all. She knows that Kou was not normal or not like
her but she didn't stop seeing Kou because she knows that Kou has a kind heart. She
was waiting for Kou to tell her what he is. In that one year of being together, Maka
notices some unexplainable events, and that why she came up with the conclusion the
Kou is different from her.

"I know Kou, I know that you are different but it doesn't make sense to ignore you
or stay away from you. I know you have a soft and kind heart that why I accepted
you for who you are," Maka said while looking into the eyes of Kou.

"This proves that you are worthy of my trust. Thank you Maka for accepting me.,"
Kou said while crying.

Maka was bout to hug Kou but Kou make space and that makes Maka be shocked.

"Maka you can't touch me"

"Why I can't touch you, Kou?"

“It was forbidden Maka, once I touch a human I will disappear in this world," Kou's
sad response.

Maka got scared of what Kou told to her. She didn't want to disappear Kou. She
knows that Kou brings joy to her life right now. She cannot accept what going to happen
if she touches Kou. For now, it was the biggest fear in her life.
 Day passes by, they were still meet each other. Kou wants to invite Maka to the
Spirit Festival where all spirit will turn into a human form to celebrate and make fun of.

"Maka let's went to the Spirit Festival later, I want you to get dressed. Okay?" Kou
said.

" Okay, Kou," Maka said while smiling.

In that evening, they went to the Festival. It was very loud and fun. All spirit was
celebrating and having fun for giving thanks to their Creator. Kou ties the end of the
handkerchief on his wrist and Maka ties the other end on her wrist that symbolizes
holding hands. They eat and play games and even make their design for masks. It a
night to remember for both of them. It was like a fairytale that no one can separate them
from each other. It was almost perfect not until Maka's fear will become true.

They are walking under the stars with fireflies around them. Kou stops walking
and places his mask into the Maka's face and kiss it with a romantic moment. It helps
Kou not to touch Maka.

"Thank you, Maka. Thank you for coming into my life," Kou said while smiling.

Maka saw Kou's smiling from the hole of the mask in the part of the eyes.
Suddenly a boy was bout to fall but Kou immediately grabs him. Kou mistakenly
touches the human boy that makes him slowly disappearing.

"Kou," Maka said with a trembling voice.

"Come here Maka, I can now hug you," Kou said while slowly disappearing.

Maka runs very fast towards Kou to embrace and confess her love for him. It
finally happens the day that she can finally touch Kou. It was her dream to touch Kou
and yet her biggest fear that Kou will never come back. Kou was smiling looking at
Maka. He knows that Maka is the only girl he will love forever. Kou never regrets the
day that they first met. It is the best time of his life, meeting Maka unexpectedly.

Kou disappears.

Maka was crying aloud.

The rain fell.

Many years have passed, Maka was able to accept the truth and continue to live.
She always went to the abandoned park when its summertime. She knows that Kou is
always protecting her no matter what happens. Kou and Maka could not be together
despite of being love of each other. It was truly tragic but all the memories they shared
will remain.
