COVERAGE: 1 ‘The new grading system shalt be applicable to-all enrolled students from all courses 2. Alb faculty members are expected:to-implement the policy to-all students, i ‘The new grading system shall be effective starting first term, AY 2019-2020. GUIDELINES: 1 This policy is anchored on the existing institutional guidelines registered by the Office of the Registrar with number REG-GU-001 entitled “Revised Faculty Guidelines for Online Encoding of Grades AY 2015-2016”. This implies that aside from the “Grade Equivalent” mentioned below, all else remain the same and Consistent with the institutional guidelines Grade Computation, All colleges shall use zero-based, 60% passing grading system. Graces shall be computed in terms of percentage with base grade of 0% and Passing mark of 60%. This implies simple computation of grades without transmutation used. For instance, the following formula is used to compute for the grade in a 20-item quiz: Raw score Grade = ae x100 Grade Equivalent. The grade point interval shall be consistent with the institutional Buidelines, A mathematical derivation was done to transmute the original equivalent Bsrade range to the new equivalent grade range based on 60% passing.
