GUIDELINES:
1
This policy is anchored on the existing institutional guidelines registered by the
Office of the Registrar with number REG-GU-001 entitled “Revised Faculty
Guidelines for Online Encoding of Grades AY 2015-2016”. This implies that aside
from the “Grade Equivalent” mentioned below, all else remain the same and
Consistent with the institutional guidelines
Grade Computation, All colleges shall use zero-based, 60% passing grading
system. Graces shall be computed in terms of percentage with base grade of 0% and
Passing mark of 60%. This implies simple computation of grades without
transmutation used. For instance, the following formula is used to compute for the
grade in a 20-item quiz:
Raw score
Grade = ae x100
Grade Equivalent. The grade point interval shall be consistent with the institutional
Buidelines, A mathematical derivation was done to transmute the original equivalent
Bsrade range to the new equivalent grade range based on 60% passing. The following
table shows the grade point and new equivalent % grade range
