Tarlac Province Reaches the Pinnacle of Covid Cases

TARLAC CITY - Having a two-day total of 224 positive COVID cases confirmed
by DOH last September 12 and 13, 2021; the province of Tarlac is considered as one of
the provinces with highest number of cases completing a total of 2,328 active cases,
11,144 recoveries and 479 number of deaths.

Based on the case bulletin posted by the Provincial Government of Tarlac, the
Tarlac City have the highest total of cases garnering 5,219,851 active cases, 4,194
recovered, and deaths that are 174. Followed by Capas having 192 active cases, 1,698
recoveries and 50 deaths for a total of 1,940, and Concepcion with 998 total cases, 129
of them are active; recoveries are 815 and 54 deaths.

Furthermore, the total cases of the other municipalities such as Paniqui has a
total of 811 cases, Gerona with 742, Camiling with 716, Victoria totaling 618, Bamban
giving 577, La Paz containing 414, Pura with 395, Moncada having 389, Sta. Ignacia
with 304, Mayantoc having a total of 183, Ramos with 144, San Clemente-140 cases,
San Jose garnering 136, Anao dealing with 127 and San Manuel with 98 cases.

With the current situation, the governor of Tarlac, Susan Yap, encourages the
people to get vaccinated and stay safe. She has also widened the scope of vaccination
rollout which has now became available in hubs, municipalities and in the city.

Meanwhile, the city mayor, Cristy Angeles, also instructed the IATF to strengthen
the mobilization of the increasing rate of COVID-19 cases through the implementation of
the submission to granular lockdown based on IATF standards: continuous giving of
food packs to identified covid positive patients and households undergoing granular
lockdown, and strengthening of telemedicine wherein the assistance and support to
covid positives and their families are given.

Strict implementation of IATF protocols or covidsita in the entire city is also


pushed through together with the maintaining the availability of Tarlac City Quarantine
Facility to asymptomatic covid positive patients.
