Pair up with your classmates and discuss the following groups of materials to find out the
positive and negative sides of them.
1. Gasoline and kerosine

gasoline is more volatile than kerosine, because the boiling point of gasoline is lower than
kerosine

kerosine is more high priced than gasoline, because kerosine is rare. kerosine becomes rare
because in the past the price of kerosine is lower than gasoline so that it is used

gasoline is more flammable than kerosine, because the flash point of gasoline is lower than
kerosene. If the flash point is low, the material is flammable so that a little heat on the
material with a low flash point will cause the material to burn easily

steel is more stronger than aluminium, because the density level of steel is higher than
aluminum

aluminium is more malleable than steel, because the boiling point of aluminium is lower
than steel
