Rise when you fall

“You can’t do it”, they warned her

But her steps kept advancing to the front.
Ahead of her could she see a path, crooked and rocky.
They thought she was dismayed but, was she?
Not even for a second did her steps stop.

Tripped on a rock, she fell with her head down.

Laughters and mocks could she hear.
Down to her heart their sword-like words went and it bled.
She will return, they thought, but her head, she lifted.
Onto her foot she rose but unto the next step, she stumbled and fell again.
Numerous times did she fall till her hopes were nowhere to be found.

Salty tears flowed down as a river from her eyes.

“They were right about you”, sounded her inner voice.
Right at that time did she see an eagle trying to snatch a rabbit.
The rabbit knew its fate but it kept fighting for its life.
Never did it give up, as a spark of hope was dwelling in it.
The impossibility turned into possibility,
When the battle ended in favour of the rabbit.
The little creature taught her a valuable lesson,
There is always a way out even if it seems to be impossible.

With a strong resolution and determination,

She kept moving forward.
“I will rise…I will not fall again…”
She whispered to the cold wind.
