The third level that students must meet is love and belongingness needs.

This segment
is ought to be sought with their parents and through their peer crew in University. First, there
are numerous various reasons why such students tend to commit absenteeism, but according
to McClusky, some of these reasons are -- family's socio-economic level; family's need for
student to work; parenting skills; psychological problems; and support or neglect (McCluskey et
al., 2004; Clark, 2008; Reed, 2000). In affinity from (Hallam & Rogers, 2008), Disinterested
families are often seldom concerned with their children’s success or failure. With that being
said, students are being demotivated to go to school which leads to school refusal then falls to
absenteeism. Furthermore, another one of the reasons why is belonginess. According to
(Steinberg & Monahan, 2007) As children reach adolescence, peer groups gain a special power
to influence their behavior, thanks in part to developmental changes that emphasize the vital
importance of being accepted among friends and associates. Some of these studies show that
peer influence is statistically and economically significant in a variety of educational contexts
and that students tend to perform better if the quality of their peer group is higher (Ding and
Lehrer, 2006: Zimmerman; 2003; Vandenherghe, 2002; Hoxby, 2000; Sacerdote, 2001; Zimmer
and Toma, 2000). In contrast, from Ryzin & Dishion, Research on adolescent behavior reveals
that associating with the wrong peer group can put students at risk for a variety of negative
long-term outcomes, including school dropout, substance abuse, and violent behavior (Farmer
et al., 2003; Van Ryzin & Dishion, 2013, 2014).

Note from Luzi:

students must meet the third level which is the love and belongingness needs. they can get it from their
peer groups in school and their parents. you can say here na na without parental engagement, magiging
demotivated ang students to attend school. pagdating naman sa peer group, dito niyo na ipasok 'yung
ano na in order for an individual to feel belong in a peer group, ginagawa niya lahat ng sinasabi ng peers
niya. that's what we call negative peer pressure.
