In the society we live in, very many people are fighting different mental conditions, and

among them, stress and depression are common. However, in Canada, society has been learning

n how they can manage their troubled mental state and manage what they might be going

through. This over history has been referred to as mindfulness meditation in nature. This is an

event that was scheduled to take place between March 1 and April 20, 2020. Over history, this

event has been conducted as a silent retreat where people are given that chance to connect with

their souls with the beauty of nature.

As human beings, our minds are troubled when we think of things that were are anxious

and suspicious about. This rendered us into stress state, which can escalate into depression cases

if not well managed. Therefore, over history in Canada, silent has been perceived as a therapy

that can help people overcome and manage their troubled mental state. As a therapy, it is

perceived necessary, and as an annual event, it facilitates people to reconnecting themselves with

the beauty of nature.

This event is conducted in an open where people are allowed to intermingle with nature

surrounding them. During this retreat, people are exposed to different components of nature,

being big or small component of nature. During this time, participants meditate about what they

are discovering in the field and ultimately relate it to their own lives. The comparison enables

humans to learn differences between human existence and nature. During this silent retreat,

participants mediate their inner being and properly perceives themselves as nature itself. They

realize the constraints that are there in the natural field, yet all these things do not hinder nature

from being beautiful and attractive. This facilitates internal reflation in one’s life over benefits

that one has over nature, yet they do not realize them to glow their beauty of happiness more

than nature.

This event observes ethical considerations in the society by ensuring that limitation that

might help people from participating are minimized as much as possible. Such an ethical

consideration is that the event does not require its participants to have an experience in the retreat

before. Therefore, this makes the vent a very open one since people, who have participated

before and who have never participated have equal chances of registering from membership in

the event. Therefore, the event has eliminated the unethical practice of impacting limitation to

disable some members of the society from attending the event. Moreover, the time frame when

the event takes place is an ethical consideration. The event is conducted from mid-morning to

midafternoon, which are favorable hours for everyone to avail themselves and participate in the

event. These might be children, adults, and even the elderly.

However, in my opinion, this event has not observed ethics on the basis of the fee

charged for eligibility as a member. In my opinion, $350 is too high, and somehow, participants

from families which disadvantaged economic backgrounds are somehow limited to participate in

the event. It could have been more realistic if the event was affordable, and the only fee

consideration was for the purchase of equipment like first aid kits. This could have encouraged

more people to get involved in the event hence impact on the larger picture of the society
