Context:

Peter is in Jerusalem preaching to the Jews

Paul is in Antioch preaching to the gentiles

2 main issues of this chapter (debated today):

1. What does man/woman have to do to be saved?

 V9 faith
 V10 not by Jewish traditions
 V11 Grace
 Exercise faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
 No difference between Jews and gentiles
2. What does man/woman have to do to stay saved?
 NOTHING (Galatians)
 Saved by grace through faith in the LORD Jesus Christ no need to keep the O-T
laws to stay saved

Acts 15:20  4 additional laws to the gentiles:

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollution of idols, and from fornication, and from
things strangled, and from blood.

 Acts 19:1-3
John baptism water baptism for Israel to repent
 Baptist briders , say that the Church began with john the Baptist but truthfully it began
at the day of Pentecost not with water baptisms but with the holy ghost.

End life of Paul
Paul’s heart was set to Jerusalem, but his ministry doesn’t work. He was a stubborn in a good
way, but here even Paul was too determined to do his will and not God’s will. Because he was
so determined to go to Jerusalem, and got shipwrecked he couldn’t do hiss 4 th missionary.
