Exercise 5
You will now do a descriptive analysis of the variables you have chosen for your research.
1) Create the structure (using Word headings) for chapter 3 Analyses.

2) Depending on how you defined the variables in chapter 2, find secondary, company
specific, information on the dimensions of each construct. Use all the information you
can find, e.g. company reports and documents, news and magazine articles, etc.

3) When you describe your analysis:


a. explain what the variable is,
b. critically discuss and interpret the information you have found on the company in
regards to the variables,
c. link it to the theory, using the theory as your perspective and
d. conclude on each variable.

3. Analyses

3.1 Introduction
- Write a proper introduction for this chapter, indicating what will happen here, making
reference to the attempt to answer your research question by doing a descriptive
analysis on certain variables.

3.2 Descriptive analysis variable 1


- Introduce the variable including its definition. You can refer, for example, to the different
dimensions of the construct.
- Present your findings and make sure you analyze the results, i.e. describe what the
results mean for your study and link it to the theoretical perspective.
- Make sure you source all theoretical and factual information.
3.x Descriptive analysis variable X
- Do the same for each other variables included in your study.

3.x Summary of main findings


- Summarize the chapter by highlighting the main findings for each variable
