Natalia RQ’s NBDE Part 2

Yes, this was Part 2 – I got some very weird questions in my blocks, which made me question
what exam I was taking.

Day 1 – September 8th

1. Opiods anatogonist
2. COVID PPV question (TP = 878? + FP = 35? / 905), options – 20, 25, 95, 99%
3. 34 mg lidocaine question
4. Drug potency graph (A is more than B, answer = C is less potent than B + A)
5. Old man on zoledronic acid (RCT + coronal apicecotomy thing)
6. Embryo derivative of trigeminal ganglion (options were like pons, medulla, etc)
7. Quite a few questions in Cardio – know angina pectoris, difference between Left and
Right sided heart failure, congestive heart failure (pathognomic signs of them, symtoms
+ signs, who it affects (males vs females, age, race), treatment options
8. Isiodriol nitrate (options = angina pectoris, MI, etc)
9. Picture of periradicular granuloma
10. Picture of ameloblastoma
11. Picture of fibroma
12. Picture of erosive lichen planus
13. Picture of zygomatic
14. Picture of soft tissue of nose (honestly the pictures were really bad quality for the most
part, you really had to guess what it was)
15. Dentist is self medicating with opiods, comes in to work disoriented; which ethical law
16. Dentist doesn’t practice in his scope, doesn’t refer = which ethics was broken
17. Dentist refers to other doctors, what ethics is he practicing (Like? This was what the
questions were like – they changed one thing)
18. Pt comes in (With most horrible crowns I have ever seen, they were like bricks), and is a
new patient in your office. What do you do 1) tell the truth and refer back to old dentist
2) tell the truth and judgements accordingly 3) tell the patient the old dentist messed up
4) tell the old dentist they mistreated the patient
19. O = outcome
20. OSHA Questions (lots about guidelines, emergency action plan, know this really well too
– read the pamphlet or whatever)
21. CHIP = the way they say it is, in 1997 this organization was founded to do blah blah blah
(and they say Children’s …. In the option)
22. Pt has SLE + RA, also has xeropthalmia and xerostomia = answer is sjogrens
23. Incidence question
24. MSDS = Manafacturer
25. Pier abutement (distal to most posterior, mesial to most anterior, requires 2
abutements)
26. Left working side = which lat/medial pterygoid right or left
27. Lots of questions about facial muscles and their innervation (not just the normal protho
ones, distal flange etc, but just general anatomy)
28. Gorlin = gave description so you know what it was = but asked in which other sign is
visible answer was OKC
29. Sturge Weber – pathognomic sign (answer was port wine stain)
30. Pütz jegher and Gardner In common = polyps
31. Lots of different ways to word same question (3-4) => Hypersensitive with epi =
hyperthyroid
32. Plummer Vinsion syndrome
33. Hyperparathyroidism – supernumerary teeth, hypodontia, brown tumor
34. vertical angulation - distortion, overlapping other options
35. only 1 fluoride question 4 year old child - calculate answer was 0.5
36. Which drug doesn’t do ion membrane channel passing = all cardio drugs (lido, beta
blocker, digoxin, ccb)
37. perio pocket of 10 mm - why? Periapcial abscess, root fracture, residual caries
38. Some exception to perio - overhang amalgam, perio abscess, other options can’t
remember
39. Like which causes continuous perio damage- root perforations
40. Combination clasp what is it
41. Function of rest
42. minor connector function
43. Positive architecture
44. Negative architecture
45. Rigidity and stability question
46. Mandibular foramen on child how it differs from adult - post, anterior, superior Inf,
some combination
47. Trisomy 21 - normal maxilla, deficient mid face, deficient / larger mandible

There were definitely easy questions as well (Straight from Mastery and RQs and El Maestro,
but for some reason I got the weirdest questions which had absolutely no relevance to Part 2).
These were the ones that stood out to me the most, there were obviously more (especially
common RQs, but those were pretty easy so I didn’t remember them)
