1. Precautions
● Connect only the indoor units fit on R410A refrigerant. Check whether the indoor units can be connected with the
product’s catalogue.
(When incorrect indoor units are connected, they cannot operate normally.)
1-2 Warning
If you don’t follow the safety precautions, you may get the risk of serious wound or death.
● The installation must be done by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
– Installation by an unqualified person may cause a water leakage, electric shock or fire and so on.
● The electric work must be done by service agent or similarly qualified persons according to national wiring regulations and use
only rated cable.
– If the capacity of the power cable is insufficient or electric work is not properly completed, electric shock or fire may occur.
● Install the outdoor unit correctly according to the installation manual.
– An incorrect installation may cause a water leakage, electric shock or fire and so on.
● Manufacturer is not responsible for accidents due to incorrect installation.
● When you install the air conditioner in a small room, you consider a proper ventilation to prevent a leakage level within the
maximum permissible limit.
– In that case, you may die from suffocation by some possibility.
● Use only rated parts and tools.
– If you don’t use the rated parts and tools, it can cause trouble with the air conditioner and bring about injury.
● Install the outdoor unit on a hard and even place that can support its weight.
– If the place cannot support its weight, the outdoor unit may fall down and it may cause injury.
● Fix the outdoor unit securely to prepare against strong wind or earthquake.
– If the outdoor unit is not properly fixed, it turns over and accidents may occur.
● Install the cables with supplied cables firmly.Fix them securely so that external force is not exerted to the terminal board.
– If the connection or fixing is incomplete, it can cause trouble with a heat generation, electric shock or fire and so on.
● Arrange the cables between the indoor and outdoor unit after connecting.Attach the cover securely so that the electrical
component box cover does not get loosen.
– If the cover is attached incompletely, it can cause trouble with a heat generation, electric shock or fire of the terminal board.
● Install separate MCCB and ELB when installing the power cable.
– If you do not install the MCCB and ELB, electric shock or fire may occur.
● The unit must be plugged into an independent circuit if applicable or connect the power cable to the auxiliary circuit breaker.
An all pole disconnection from the power supply must be incorporated in the fixed wiring with a contact opening of >3mm.
● If any gas or impurities except R410A refrigerant come into the refrigerant pipe, serious problem may occur and it may cause
injury.
● Make sure there is no leakage after installation.
– Toxic gas may generate when refrigerant gas contacts with fire.
● Leak test must be done using only Nitrogen(NO2)gas.
1-3 Caution
If you don’t follow the safety precautions, you may get the risk of injury or loss of property.

Cross Fan
Since Samsung's Bio Cross Fan has been molded
with an antibacterial formula, it can suppress proliferation
of molds and bacteria, preventing the causes of foul
odors. This extends the durability of the unit.
Silver-Nano EvaporatorTM
• The new H-Fin technology enhances the power of
removing bacteria.
• The heat exchanging function is upgraded.
• It provides pure and fresh air, similar to an air purifier.
• Samsung applied the chrome-free evaporator to all
products in 2005.
• According to EU environmental and health regula-
tions, all appliances and products must be void of
harmful materials such as chrome beginning in 2006.
Deodorizing filter
Activated carbon is incorporated in the filter,
efficiently absorbing cigarette smoke, pet odors,
and other unpleasant smells, replacing them with
clean, refreshing air.
Catechin filter
Catechin, extracted from green tea, is contained in the
filter and deactivates captured bacteria and unpleasant
odors.

Reliability of the compressor is very important in multi evaporator systems, where only one compressor is air-conditioning the
whole area. The DSC compressor has passed high compression tests, high load tests, start/stop tests and many other extreme
tests, to deliver class leading reliability.

: An error occurs and starting is prohibited right before starting the heat mode with
refrigerant charging operation by the K1 switch of outdoor PCB or when outdoor
temperature is over 15°C.
1. Check Method
The above error code is not for the products' error. Because this specification is to protect the products by restricting the
temperature ranges, use it by referring the temperature range of use condition in the manual.
If the above error code is occurred despite the condition does not correspond to the above judgment method, read the value
of the outdoor inlet air temperature sensor by use of the view mode or S-net, and then if the value is different from the actual
outdoor temperature, replace the temperature sensor.

cooling operation and below 2.6kg/ cm2G during heating operation, start is prohibited.
(Impossible to restart and error display on the indoor unit).
1. Check Method
1) Measure the pressure using the Manifold Gauge when the system is stopped.
2) Read the low pressure sensor value using the View Mode or S-net.
3) If the value of no. 1 and no. 2 is similar, refrigerant is leaked out almost; therefore, release remaining refrigerant, vacuum
again, and recharge it.
4) If the value of no. 1 and no. 2 is different by much, check and replace it because the contact badness of low pressure
sensor connector part or defect of the sensor itself.
• Above error can be occurred because pressure is low on the low pressure side according to the refrigerant is
only gathered at the outdoor heat exchanger after pump-down. In this case, after correctly connecting the
pipe to the indoor unit and open the service valve, refrigerant circulates to the low pressure side; thus, the
error is disappeared.

case of the overload and error action as for the motor protecting action. If the motor is operated, there is no error.
2) Check whether there is rotation of the outdoor Fan Motor and whether there is a lock.
3) Possible to operate after removing the cause of the lock in case of the lock.
When the difference between the number of rotation of the outdoor Fan Motor under an
Judgment method
operation and an ordered value is over 100rpm
1. Check Method
1) The system is programmed that operating by attempting to restart several times to operate the motor if an error signal
is generated on the starting defect. If the motor is operated, there is no error.
2) Check whether the outdoor unit Fan Motor is rotated and locked or not.
3) Check the motor and the signal terminal connection status.
4) If the motor is not operated, the motor defect is judged.
Troubleshooting
Judgment method When the temperature of IPM during the operation of the outdoor Fan Motor is over 150°C
1. Check Method
1) Check whether the outdoor unit Fan Motor is rotated and locked or not.
2) When the above error is occurred in case there is no lock, check whether the motor is restarted after cooling the motor
in case of the overload and error action as for protecting the inside circuit of the motor.
3) When is occurred after , the defect by the break of the inside circuit of the motor is judged.
When the current value of the outdoor Fan Motor on operation maintains over 1 minute at
Judgment method
over 7A
1. Check Method
1) Check whether the outdoor unit Fan Motor is rotated and locked or not.
2) When the above error is occurred in case there is no lock, the signal by overload and error action is judged.
The signal is to display the motor load status and it is not an error.
3) Need to check whether there is an error of Fan load status or not.
Troubleshooting
Judgment method When the rotation direction of the outdoor unit Fan Motor is rotated reversely before starting
Causes Wind that let the Fan operate reversely is generated, ex) Typhoon
1. Judgment Method
Check whether there is reverse rotation (CCW) before ordering of starting the outdoor unit Fan.
2. Check Method
1) This signal is for motor protection in order not to start under reverse rotation condition by checking the moving status
when the power of the outdoor unit fan motor is not turned on.
2) Check there is outside wind which can rotate the fan by force in the place where the outdoor unit is installed.
