ACTIVITY 16

C.

1. What is the effect of the state’s surveillance on the individual?

When we learn that we are being watched at all times, it is obvious that our privacy will

be compromised, and we will be less likely to express our personal opinions. It is

already a breach of privacy that the government has continued to collect all sources of

information, including highly personal information of millions of people, without their

consent.

2. Does the CCTV need to be functional all the time?

Yes, because CCTV is used for a number of purposes, including health agencies

controlling the spread of contagious diseases, and law enforcement agencies

monitoring and preventing crime. It also aids in citizen behavior.

3. Why is the surveillance not effective always?

Surveillance is ineffective because people only behave in front of the camera; when

they are not in front of the camera, their attitude reverts to normal. It only works when

an individual sincerely wants to change his or her mindset and adopt decency in all

aspects of life.
D. Let’s practice further. Look at the picture. Supposing you are the assigned

person to give an update to the management. Write a progress report about the

situation in the picture on the spaces provided.

Based on what I can see in the photo, they are almost finished with their

wall project along the coast. Because I didn't see a lot of cement in the picture and they

didn't use the mixer, I'd assume they're virtually done. Some of them, I believe, are

simply cleaning their equipment and filing the stone.
