2.1.2 ALTERNATE METHOD FOR SPECIFYING O–RING PORTS. O–ring ports conforming to this speci-
fication can also be designated on drawings in this manner:
 Specify the nominal port size
 Additional features such as the pre–spotface and connecting holes will be dimensioned directly on
the feature according to JDS–G113, Drafting.
2.1.3 DESIGNATION ON DRAWINGS.
 PORT SPOTFACES. Dependent on materials, three (3) mm of finish material should be allowed for
the spotface. The depth of the spotface is the minimum depth necessary to clean up the surface to
the specified diameter.
 PRE–SPOTFACES. A pre–spotface can be specified if needed to provide additional clearance or
eliminate a fin or thin area left by the standard port spotface. The pre–spotface size should be the
next larger standard port spotface diameter.
