‘TEACHERS LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT NEEDS ASSESSMENT
(LDNA) RESULT
S/Y 2021-2022
1. BACKGROUND AND Through the years, decades and
RATIONALE centuries, teachers without a single
doubt are considered resilient. The
passing of time, transition from |
generations to generations and fast
growth of technologies were not a
hindrance to deliver leaming to our
children. With these rapid changes in
the teaching and leaming process,
teachers are highly needed to be
equipped with professional skills and
competencies to continue their
professional productivity.
“Newly hired teachers are in demand
in teaching in terms of technology-
related skills and competencies", this
is by far the reason why traditional
teachers somehow felt the eagemess
for early retirement. They felt like they
are not needed anymore. This should
be addressed thoroughly, and this
can be done through trainings,
seminars, technical assistance and
motivation.
The gaps in knowledge and skills
‘among traditional and newly hired
teachers were seen in their individual
development plans, e-sat and
observations. These gaps can possibly
be addressed though the unity and
‘camaraderie of the whole
organization, These gaps shouid be
‘addressed so that no one in teaching
profession be left behind.
