SKYLARK

- Brought up in a crime syndicate since the age of 7 (unaware of where she came from
or any life before this)
o Trained to be an urban bounty hunter
o Was the runt of the litter (smallest of her peers)
 Left with minimal food (suffered malnutrition causing her sickly
greyish hued skin)
 Malnutrition also caused stunted development, explaining how
Skylark appears to be and has the mental development of a 17 year
old while being the 20 year old daughter of Okham
 Chucked with an assigned 3 limbed bear who becomes her one and
only companion
 Both being left for dead really by the syndicate they band
together and are sworn ‘friends till the end’, one doing
anything to protect the other.
o Read up on the natural world (something she longed to discover for herself)
 Incredibly intelligent on the natural world but not wise
- Eventually became capable enough to overthrow and defeat the crime organization
controlling her
o During the defeat she learns that she’s half-elf and was kidnapped from her
original parents by the crime organization
 Explaining her odd eye colours
o She learns that she was in fact the kidnapped daughter of Okham, who was
faked to be executed and instead trained up to be a bounty hunter.
o While Okham remains clueless to how and why his lovely, loving wife was
found dead 20 years ago. Skylark learns that her mother (Okham’s late wife)
was a member of the matriarchal syndicate that forbade her to dedicate
herself to anything but the organization. However, Skylark’s mother found
herself falling for Okham and having his child causing her gruesome and
mysterious death orchestrated by the matriarchy.
o Where Okham thinks he managed to capture, torture and kill the matriarchal
syndicate that kidnapped his daughter all those years ago, reality is that
Skylark planted them to be caught and tortured by Okham. Helping him
achieve his revenge without him knowing.
o While looting the dead matriarch headquarters, Skylark finds a ring that
seems to inflict emotions in her.
 She realizes the emotions warn her against danger or advises her to
better paths of life
- Goes on the run and is left to survive on her own in the forests and jungles where she
finally puts her book knowledge of the natural world to use and gets her own wisdom
and experience of the natural world
- she goes on the search for Okham’s syndicate to work closer with her father whom
she never knew.
- The first time she meets her father, a surge of warm, loving emotions radiate from the
ring and she comes to realize that it is in fact her mother’s soul trapped in the ring
that has been guiding her the entire time.
- Finding herself too idle for satisfaction she becomes a free lance bounty hunter that
gets hired by Okham’s Syndicate for a few high profile jobs
o Gets noticed by Okham and when the syndicate falls, she gets ‘adopted’ by
Okham himself and they go off on an adventure
- Skylark now feigns her ‘unknown’ identity to travel the land with her unassuming
father; constantly at war with her underlying loyalty to this unfamiliar father figure
and her ideal of independence and freedom
