A MODEST PROPOSAL FOR THE WORLD

I have noticed a very common problem in every human being: the complaint. People
complain about things that usually have a solution: they complain because it is not
their best year, or because life is very boring and monotonous for them. Complaints
about governments are the most common and famous. In addition, young people
complain that they must go to class, moms complain that they must do everything at
home, and parents because they have to go to work. That is why I make a proposal
to create a half year full of unforgettable experiences for the world. An
uncomfortable, painful, terrifying, raw year that forces them to grow. A year that
screams so loud that it wakes them up from their ignorant dream, and thus, let them
learn not to complain about everything and to be grateful for the life they have,
whatever it is.
To begin this adventure, in the month of January we activate false seismic alerts and
earthquakes to create fear and encourage them to believe in something and to get
closer to their loved ones. In February, we release a virus so contagious and deadly
that it removes the most vulnerable people and thus we finish with the ignorant and
not very responsible people. In March we launch a health alert, close schools, send
all non-essential workers home, so mothers will have more support with housework.
In the month of April, we released murderous wasps that create a stir in people, and
lower the price of gasoline, just to liven up the environment. In May, we hire a hacker
so smart that he would reveal world leaders, so that people would find out the reality
or confirm their suspicions towards governments. What people do afterwards is at
their discretion. And finally, in June we create storms and hurricanes to avoid
complaints about the heat of those dates, and we allow the streets to flood in
response to the traffic problem.
I hope that the nations are in favor of my proposal. 2020 is the year we have been
waiting for, this will be the year that will end all the complaints that have been and
will be made.
