To whom it may concern,

I’m writing to apply for the position of wound nurse stationed at Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital.
I am confident that my skills are well-aligned with the role, and that I would be an excellent fit
for your organization, which excels at strengthening the skills of new graduate nurses in order to
improve their transition into the nursing profession. I will graduate from the University of
Arizona: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Integrative Health program with a BSN degree and am
looking forward to using the knowledge I've obtained to benefit patients at the wound clinic. My
objective is to obtain this job position to provide comprehensive patient-centered care that
promotes patient healing and overall health.

In my recent capacity as a preceptee at the Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital, I was able to

significantly expand my skill set as a healthcare provider, learning to develop skills such as
wound assessment, time management and communication that would be vital in fulfilling the
requirements of this position. I was able to assess complex patient wounds, clean patient wounds
to remove bacteria and debris and minimize the risk of infection. Furthermore, I'd provide
dressings for patient wounds to create a barrier against bacteria and determine the appropriate
treatment to enhance wound healing. In this position I learned to accommodate the wound care
needs of different patients and provided resources and patient education that would help support
them in their wound healing.

My skill-set and experience are comprehensive and up-to-date. I make it my top priority to see
that all patients receive efficient care so that they are able to effectively heal from their injuries. I
believe my experiences make me an excellent fit for this opportunity.

Sincerely,

Sitey Abdi
