ASSIGNMENT

(MODULE 1)

Name: Mary Alexia A. Villafuerte

Course/BLK: BS Marine Transportation [BLK-1]

1. Recall the rules and explain why you need to follow these rules.

Rules are simply instructions that tell us the way things not to be done. We have to follow these rules
because it helps us to prepare for living in a society. In our homes, when we’re young, we were taught
not to hit anyone, steal a penny from our mother’s purse, lie, or litter. As we grow older we’re held
accountable for these rules by becoming law abiding citizens and be punished by imprisonment and
even death (at some countries).

2. What rules you find constricting? Why?

There are no rules I found constricting for me. Rules are made to act as guidelines of doing something
correctly. If you want to commit something that you know will abide these rules, do it, as long as you’re
ready to face the consequences. In other definition of rules, rules can have official or no official value.

3. Why rules are important to social being?

Rules are important to the society because it punishes the wrongdoers, it resolves disagreements, and it
promotes common good and moral discipline. Importantly, it provides us peaceful environment to live,
it keeps us safe. It also protects the weaker class in the society

4. Why should we follow the guidelines that have been established in our society?

We should follow these guidelines because it protects us to each other and have organized, peaceful,
and order society. There are consequences you have to face if you do not follow these guidelines.
