HOST: Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen. May I have your attention please.

We are about to begin

Leira’s 18th Birthday Party Celebration so please find your seats or tables and make yourself comfortable
and enjoy the rest of the evening.

A very good evening to each and everyone and welcome to Leira’s 18 th Birthday Party. We would like to
thank everyone for gracing this momentous occasion despite the adversities we have encountered this
year particularly the growing number of Covid 19 cases in the NCR. Nevertheless, tonight we are going to
witness a young girl taking her first step as woman. But first, allow me to acknowledge the presence the
special people in our debutant’s life.

Some of us have been fortunate enough to see Leira grow and blossom into a beautiful lady, but for
others, here’s a quick look of how this lovely, young lady came about. Dim the Iights and roll VTR please.

During the 19 years of marriage it is any parent’s pride to see their baby grow up…grow up to be one fine
young lady. This evening, the Lumen family takes themselves into the spotlight as they accompany their
beautiful daughter, once a baby now a lady. Tonight calls for a grand celebration and it is my distinct
pleasure to introduce to you for the very first time, the reason why we are all her tonight. Without further
ado, let us all rise and give a warm applause. Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome, Mr. and Mrs.
Leideric Lumen and Lek Armand Lumen as they accompany their beautiful lovely debutant for tonight Ms.
Leira Lumen.,

Such a spectacular grand entrance by our lovely debutante, I would say. Wow, blooming and lovely,
indeed! Where do you all think did she get her look? Could it be from her Nanay or her Tatay? Evidently,
before tonight, Aya has had happy years in a very happy home. The love of a family will always be God’s
greatest blessing. Sabi nga nila, in life we can have several friends, classmates, and social circles, but
there is only one family who is always willing and ready to welcome us no matter what.

Ladies and gentlemen, to answer the question where Aya got her charming looks, here’s her Tatay to
welcome all of us to their lovely daughter’s 18th birthday party and for the toast of life. May I invite
everyone to hold your goblets as we join Mr. Leidric Lumen in this activity.

Thank you very much Tatay Eric.

Like a flower that blooms and exudes its sweet scents to attract bees and butterflies, the debutant will be
swarmed by 18 equally gentle bachelors. The 18 roses and the dance of Leira’s life shall now commence
with her Tatay, leading her way in the hope that she finds real friends in her journey to life. Ladies and
gentlemen, once again, Mr. Leidric Lumen.

To entertain us this evening, our debutante’s friend has prepared us an intermission number.
The 18 Candles involves the women who are important to the debutante—as advisors, teachers, and
trusted peers. They then each light a candle that symbolizes light—light that will guide the girl on her life
journey. . Once all 18 candles have been lit, they are placed on the debutante's birthday cake andblown
out. To give us the first wisdom for Leira’s entry to womanhood let us all begin with Ms. Nika Cabanela,
one of our debutants trusted friends from Legazpi City Science High School.

Before we proceed to the next segment of our program let us all put our attention together as we witness
yet another intermission number

And so ladies and gentlemen, just like any other birthdays, and with all of us witnessing this momentous
day of Leira’s life, we all together sing a happy birthday song, one that everyone would here…

One that all of us will be proud of as _____ turns 18. And one where happiest of wishes are set to come
true…so together…(birthday song….)

Our debut this evening has been filled with different symbolisms in the hope that each symbol becomes a
part of her growth. Ladies and gentlemen, we shall now have 18 treasure. Let us now begin with Ms.
Amefei Lacbain, the Auntie of our debutant who is a municipal accountant of Manito, Albay.

(After the birthday song….)

Harold: Everyone, let us all say happy birthday! Happy birthday!

Everyone, I believe this evening is complete. We shall thank our gracious hosts for such splendid soiree
this evening.

to family ties and relationship. Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you these 18 Wishers for our
debutant. These are the people close to the heart of our celebrant, and whom she listens and confides to

HOST: Many ancient cultures believed that smoke carried their prayers to the heavens. So, at the count
of three, Mommy Cynthia and members of the 18 Wishes, let’s say “May all our wishes come true” and
blow our candles together. 1, 2, and 3…

Everybody blows the candle

HOST: Let me share another good-to-know trivia to everyone on how birthday cakes and candles came
about as a tradition during birthdays. Some believe that the tradition of birthday candles began in Ancient
Greece. Putting candles on a cake was a special way to pay tribute to the Greek moon goddess, Artemis.
They baked round cakes to symbolize the moon. Candles were added to represent the reflected
moonlight. Today’s tradition of making wishes before blowing out the birthday candles may have started
with that belief. Enough of all those did-you-know trivia because at this part of the program, our lovely and
stunning Cham will blow the candles on her birthday cake. And to complete that customary practice, let us
all sing joyfully a song I am very sure everybody is familiar with, the happy birthday song!

Debutant makes a wish and blows the candles.

HOST: Tonight’s celebration tells me that the best demonstration of gratitude in response to a wonderful
experience like this one can be contained in an overwhelming thank you. Maraming salamat po for
making me a part of this memorable occasion. And if there’s one person here tonight who is more than
grateful to see all of you, that would be our beloved celebrant, Cham. I’m giving the floor to our dear
debutant to give her message for all of us.

Thank you message from Cham

HOST: The night is young, and so are we, diba? Are you ready to party? We have just actually started.
Again, thank you for having me here to celebrate with all of you. Isang malakas na “Happy birthday,
Cham! naman diyan. At the count of three…1, 2, 3, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHAM! Our debutant is not just a
pretty face but also a very talented lady. To get the party started, throw your hands up in the air for CHAM
with the City Lights Band! This is your host, John Irene Del Campo, enjoy the rest of the night everyone!
