Dear firnds,

There is a substation building over Compacted fill of 13 m.Adjacent to the building there is a
retaining wall at a distance of 1 m from the substation building. The substation building has been
modelled and analysed and the Base pressure contour is plotted using STADD soft ware. The base
pressure at the face closer to the retaining wall is maximum for nearly 0.5 m and gradually decreases
For calculation of the lateral load to the retaining wall (surcharge from the substation building) what
will be correct method of calculation of Base pressure. Is it the average pressure or the maximum
pressure .

Subject: [SEFI] Re: helipad loading

Dear Frnds,

Since I am working with a multi star (Steel/Oil/IT/Power/Tele /Const/Design/Cement) group and it

has lots of different types of Const Projects and I could not approach every where in deep and as per
my personal data bank, I try here to make some useful stuff. In fact 3 helipads are being used here
where every week Supremes come by their own choppers flying from city based roof top helipads.

Any way I hope that attached stuff may guide for further going....

In india -- Construction/Design Specification for land based Runways /Helipads are generally
followed as of Indian Roads Congress.
