Rest of Mindanao will experienced partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from Southwest with moderate to rough seas. Currently, Davao Region is experiencing cloudy to very cloudy skies with scattered and intermittent light to moderate rainshowers. On or about 04:30 PM of August 28, 2019, moderate to heavy rains were experienced in Davao City particularly in Tugbok District and Talomo District resulting in overflow of Talomo River that caused major flooding in the area. Affected areas are Wangan Technical School and Balengaeng Los Amigos in Tugbok District, Ulas, Taal 1 and Taal 2 in Bangkal, Talomo Teachers Village in Brgy. Talomo and Morio-Morio Village in Matina Pangi, all in Davao City. Ongoing assessment and forced evacuation were conducted by Davao CDRRMO (o the affected barangays. Temporary evacuation are in Los Amigos Evacuation Center in Tugbok area and Brgy. Halls for other affected Barangays. Talomo. * CDRRMO Davao City deployed wingvan and dumptrucks to transfer the affected families from Tugbok to Los Amigos Evacuation Center. * Declared suspension of classes on Thursday, August 29, 2019 in select public and private schools in Davao City affected by August 28, 2019 flooding. (Proclamation No. 04 series of 2019). * Continuous monitoring and assessment of the affected areas. Philippine Coast Guard * Deployed 27 personnel with 2 rubber boats to the affected areas. NFEM-Philippine Navy * Deployed 15 personnel with 2 rubber boats and 2 m-35 trucks to the affected areas. BFP XI * Deployed 40 personnel with 4 Fire trucks, 2 Ambulance, 1 Special Rescue Unit (SRU) to the affected areas. Task Force Davao * Deployed 5 squad SAR Teams with 3 KM-450 Light Trucks, 1 KM-250 Cargo Truck, 1 rubber boats and floating devices to the affected areas, TOWEM ¢ Deployed 19 personnel with 1 rubber boat and m36 truck to the affected areas. PNP XI * Talomo Police search and rescue deployed personnel for monitoring rivers in Km. 6 and Km. 8 in Matina Pangi Philippine Red Cross - Davao City Chapter Continuous monitoring thru Apo Base Deployed SWRT 1% Team and evacuated around 150 persons from Taal 1 and Bulusan Areas to Lourdes Parish Evacuation Center * Deployed Ambulance Team * Deployed Assessment Team composed of 4 DRTs * Deployed additional SWRT and rescued around 50 trapped people at Phase 3 Block 6, NHA, Bangkal, Davao City using the rubber boat of Knight Hawk Foundation. ¢ Rescued 1 patient with difficulties of breathing and brought to Adventist Hospital in Bangkal, Davao City Dswo * Coordinated with Davao CSSDO for other social services assistance to affected families. Conducted field assessment and validation to affected families. Scheduled to distribute food packs to Barangays Los Amigos and Bangkal on August 30, 219. * DSWD-FO XI conducted Rapid Assessment to the affected families and communities. * DSWD-FO XI is in close coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) XI for the monitoring and reporting of the status of the affected fami * A total of — P6,547,563.22 worth of assistance was provided by DSWD to the affected families.
