People dance for several purposes, including entertainment,
enjoyment, and health. Dance can be done in a social setting or in front of an audience. It can either be competitive or ceremonial. Social dances are communal dances performed in social gatherings in any given space. Personal safety measures must be observed when dancing by choosing dance style that is appropriate to your level of fitness, observe proper hygiene, wear professionally fitted shoes appropriate to your style of dance, appropriate attire, personal grooming, suitable demeanor, warm up thoroughly before you start dancing and include stretches and check with your dance instructor that you are using the correct posture or technique. When dancing, the safety of the dancers must be checked and taken into account. In dance, safety precautions are critical since they help to avoid terrible things from happening, such as accidents and injuries. Dancers are particularly vulnerable to injuries, especially long-term ones, as they may render them unable to dance. Dancers are also more likely to reach their full potential if they are confident that they will be protected no matter what. One of the primary goals of safe practice is to reduce the risk of harm, but because dance is a physical exercise, it is hard to completely eliminate the possibility of damage.
