Project BEAM Overview

Anonas National High School’s Project BEAM DepEd Order No. 041 or the
Guidelines on the Implementation of School Dental Health Care Program (SDHCP)
which aims to ensure the maintenance of good oral health among learners and
personnel, including Medical and Nursing Services during the New Normal education.
The program adheres to the Department of Education’s goal to provide access to health
services among learners and DepEd personnel who need preventive and curative
services, including immediate dental and medical emergency care in schools by
establishing fully functional clinics.

The mnemonics on Project BEAM stands for Brush Every After Meal which is the
school’s way to remind the learners of the importance of brushing every after meal
which is crucial in maintaining good dental health. Moreover, the project highlights the
partnership of the teachers and parents in monitoring the dental health of the learners.
Relatively, the school will tap the Barangay Council, Barangay Health Workers (BHW),
and other School Partners in disseminating information regarding dental health as well
as in the distribution of Oral Health Kits. All these efforts are directed towards the
ultimate goal of ensuring that learners will have a beaming smile.
