Three Layer Density Column

Have you ever wondered why ice cubes float instead of falling to the bottom of the
glass of water when you put them in? Even giant icebergs float on the top of seas
and lakes, not simply little ice cubes!

Density is the scientific secret here. Because solid items are thicker and heavier
than liquids - and ice is a solid - one may assume that ice would float in water.
However, this is not the case! Ice, believe it or not, has a lower density than water
by roughly 9%. Because the water is heavier than the ice, it displaces it, causing the
ice to float to the top.
Activity-
Let's put this density notion to the test with a variety of liquids to create a lovely
three-layer density column.

Choose liquids of your own choice for this project and try to explain why one liquid
floats on top of another.

Requirements:
1. Glass container

2. Three different liquids such as water, milk or honey etc.

3. Create a video explaining the facts of the activity.

Evaluation:
1. Activity quality- Make the activity as basic as possible.

2. Presentation- The video's presentation as well as scientific approach towards

practical will be evaluated. It must contain Principle behind, methodology and
observation.

3. Duration of the video should not be more than 10 mins.

Let's have some fun while learning

about density !!!
