Battle of Manila 1945 Documentary Film

 Give at least two advantages and disadvantages of war. Give an explanation for your
response.

-What is war? In the common definition, war is a confrontation between political parties that
involves long-term and large-scale warfare. so what are advantage and dis-advantage of war?
There are many effect of war and some of the advantages are money, pride, land and the most
important is Nationalism. Disadvantages of war include death and injury of huge numbers of
people, loss of economic resources, harm of the environment, loss of productivity and lifelong
damage to military personnel

 Will you go into battle if you see positive results? Explain your response.
-In my opinion, yes. War has its consequences and to be honest, at first glance, my participation
would contribute almost nothing so it might look like just suicide. But if I am with the same
people who foresees the greater good in the future after a mighty war, my contribution will
bring a small push towards the freedom we deserve, like the battle of manila movie we
watched.

 Will you oppose war if it has negative consequences? Give an explanation for your response.

- Yes, I prefer peace than war because war causes many losses of human lives, economic losses
due to the destruction of capital as well as disruption of trade, human suffering, the spread of
diseases, displacement of people, and environmental destruction, as the leader of my country, I
do not want to see my people suffer and lose their lives.

 Create an acrostic poem using the term WORLD WAR in the context of World War II's
aftermath and the Japanese occupation of the Philippines/Manila.

-Weapons that destroyed homes and killed humanity


Offered nothing but to scare families.
Rules were broken and dictated the people's mind.
Leaders who doesn't want to lose their power and reputation.
Deaths that acummulates 75 million people and sufferings of nations.
Wrapped in the chaos for independence.
Armies fought for their country's freedom.
Reality that will never be forgotten even in centuries to come.
