 TOPIC SENTENCE (Θεματική Πρόταση)

Είναι συνήθως η πρώτη πρόταση και διευκρινίζει το θέμα που θα αναπτυχθεί στην
παράγραφο. Είναι δηλαδή σαν μια περίληψη της παραγράφου. Οι θεματικές
προτάσεις της έκθεσής σου πρέπει να αποδεικνύουν αυτό που υποστηρίζεις στο
thesis statement.

Αποτελείται από 1-2 προτάσεις που εξηγούν καλύτερα τη θεματική
πρόταση.

cheaper compared to using a car. For instance, you save on the cost of gas and
servicing. What is more, you contribute to making your city a healthier place to live
in. By reducing gas emissions caused by motor-powered means of transport, air
pollution decreases as well.

There are many advantages to using the Internet. Firstly, you have easy access to all
kinds of information. For example, you can do research on the Internet for school
projects. Moreover, you can keep in touch with friends from all over the world. For
instance, you can use emails to communicate with them cheaply and quickly.

Another major advantage of using mobile phones is their directness. To begin with,
you can call anyone you like whenever you like. For example, if you run out of gas in
the middle of the highway, you can call for help. What is more, people can contact
you anytime, no matter where you are. For instance, if there is an emergency you
must know about, they can reach you and notify you.

There are many advantages to shopping on the Internet. First of all, you can buy
things whenever it is convenient for you. That is to say, you can shop even late at
night or on Sundays when conventional stores are closed. Furthermore, you get
everything delivered at home. This way, you avoid waiting at queues and carrying
large shopping bags home.

The main advantage of living in a detached house is that it offers you greater privacy.
That is to say, you have no neighbors close by to disturb you with their noise or to be
disturbed by you. For example, you can have a party any time you like, or watch TV
and make noise around the house until late without anyone complaining about it.
