LEARNING ACTIVITY 

How Did We Get Here ?

You have discovered how media and information works from the past. Indeed, you have
seen how media and information evolved from the simplest form up to the most advanced and
complex version. You have now realized how lucky you are enjoying various forms of media that we
have today and was able to take a glimpse on how people communicate from the past. In this
activity, you will create a timeline of the evolution of traditional to new media through visual
representation.

Materials Needed:
Tablet/ Laptop
Bond paper for the draft
Pen and Pencil

Instructions

1. Refer to the WIKI: The Evolution of Traditional to New Media.


2. List down the different devices that people use to communicate, store information and share/
broadcast information during the Prehistoric Age, Industrial Age, Electronic age, and
Information age.
3. After gathering the data needed, create a timeline on how traditional media evolved through
visual representation or drawing of the different media tools that were used from past to
present using a graphic organizer.
4. Use Piktochart or Canva to accomplish the output.
5. Be creative and apply appropriate colors and design for your output.
6. Apply 1.0 Inch margin to all sides of the cartolina.
7. Save your output in pdf format and share it to MIL ABM/GAS: LearningActivities
