in my mind, it explains the tolerance the Germans have for the Arab refugees
despite the issues and crimes they have experienced.  But it is also the contrast
to movies like Schindler's List.  

Do a search in Netflix for “German” and you will find a number of entries. I have only
one recommendation – The Lives of Others (life in the DDR before and right after the
Wall came down)
