Summary
This Physical education playlist is for my High school and transition students. They are in a
special needs specific class but are very independent and are able to state verbally or with their
communication device what they prefer or dislike.
I plan on using this playlist as a weekly assignment where they need to complete all the
activities on the playlist by Friday. They will receive 1 point for each activity completed for a
potential total of 8/8 points. Students will have the freedom to choose the order in which they
complete the activities and when/where they do them. Many of the activities are technology
based so students can use a smartboard, laptop, or iPad to complete the activity (ex: cosmic
yoga and using the warm up visuals). It is important to give students choices, ownership over
their learning, and still provide challenging goals and expectations. I believe this playlist has a
good blend of physical activities that require in person movement and potential peer interaction,
activities that can be done individually (or with a partner or 2 as an option) with the use of
technology (iPad, ChoiceWorks app, Smart board), and cognitive activities (PE questionnaire).

This activity addresses ISTE standards 3c (I curate information from digital resources using a
variety of tools and methods to create collections of artifacts that demonstrate meaningful
connections or conclusions.), by using a google docs to create this playlist with resources and
tools to allows students to work at their own pace and at their own level of rigor. It also
addresses ISTE standard 4b (I select and use digitals tools to plan and manage a design
process that considers design constraints and calculated risks.) as I selected Google slides,
docs, and forms as technology to create and implement activities while also using Ipad based
app Choiceworks and YouTube to provide individualized and enjoyable physical activity options.
