A very interesting natural condition in the form of the flow of rivers has not been optimally processed by the Banjar community, while
such conditions can contribute greatly to the community. In addition to preserving the natural environment, it can be utilized as a function of
urban space oriented to rivers. The obstacle in processing the city potential is the not yet developed public space or communal space that
accommodates Banjar community activities.
Along with the growth of the city and increasing population, new settlements develop uncontrollably along the river, so that some rivers
lose their function and decrease the quality of the environment in the form of silting, narrowing, declining river water quality and many rivers
are lost covered by dwelling or degraded for various developments. River culture which is a characteristic of the community along the river has
experienced a shift caused by the change in orientation of residence from river communities to mainland communities resulting in damage to the
residential environment on the riverbanks.
