Ladies and gentlemen I am as the third speaker of the positive team. I don’t agree with the
argument of the negative team. We as the positive still agree if the pandemic bring many positive
impact of teaching and learning process.

So ladies and gentlemen in here I will talk from parents perspective.

As a parents like fathers and mothers have a big role in the process of guiding and accompanying
children both in formal and non-formal education. The role of parents itself can affect children's
development in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

The following is the role of parents towards children:

1. Parents as educator
2. Parents as protector
3. Parents as director
4. Parents as advisor

In the covid 19 pandemic situation, there are many effects that have been caused and parents
must be grateful for that situation. Because through a pandemic
1. The relationship between parents and children becomes closer
Teenagers usually feel more comfortable sharing their stories or life problems with their
close friends than their parents. Besides that, the time to gather with family on weekends is
often spent by teenagers hanging out with their close friends. In this period of social
distancing, we have the opportunity to get closer and get to know our children better. With
warm communication, we can encourage our children to be more open to us and thus we can
know their development better than before.
2. Doing activities that are pending
If previously parents often postponed activities they wanted to do because of their daily
activities, during this pandemic period they had more time to do these activities. Looking for
a new hobby
3. Increase children's social awareness
With the pandemic condition that has hit our country's economy, it is fitting that parents
increase our social care and that of our children. Parents can share with those who are going
through hardships in many ways.

Ladies and gentlemen based on the explanation above. I conclude that covid-19 pandemic bring
positive impact especially to parents and children. And also make the parents to pay attention to
children's education, especially in the teaching and learning process from home.

Ladies and gentlemen as a third speaker I don’t agree with the statement that given by the
negative team. Our team absoulutely agree that covid 19 brings the negative impact to teaching
learning process. For example teaching and learning don’t effective when at school applying the
online learning, it can affect students as well as parents.

Ladies and gentlemen I am as a third speaker of negative team I will talk that Many the impacts
experienced by parents and students as a result of the pandemic, students return to implementing
online learning, from this, according to our team it is a big influence for students and especially
for parents.

Ladies and gentlemen the negative impact of online leraning to the parents is the parents feel
strees because must guide children in learning while there is still a lot of work to be done, for
example looking for money to meet family needs ,Have to finish homework or parents have to
guide children in the learning process, so from that I think that the Covid 19 pandemic has a
negative impact not only for students and teachers but also for parents. A simple example is that
parents have to buy a handphone, then fill out the internet quota or do they have to find money to
meet their daily needs

Ladies and gentlemen based on the explanation above I wanna say that covid 19 pandemic bring
negative impact to teaching learning. And it is not only felt by students and teachers but also
affects parents.
